Why God Is Never Named in the Book of Esther | The Seed War EP 3

The book of Esther never mentions God. Not His name, not a prayer, not a prophet. The one book where the covenant people come closest to extinction is the one book where God never appears, and that is the point. Four attacks on the promised line, scaled up from one family to a whole nation. Pharaoh's kill order and the basket on the Nile, and the Hebrew word tevah that appears in only two places in the Bible. Balaam, the prophet hired to curse Israel who could not do it, the Deir Alla inscription that names him outside Scripture, and the doctrine that carries his name. Athaliah's purge of "all the seed royal" and the one hidden baby in the temple. Haman's empire-wide extermination order, Mordecai the Benjamite, and Saul's unfinished war with Amalek coming due in Susa.
