Deuteronomy 32: The Hidden Operating System of the Nations

What if the Tower of Babel was more than the confusion of human languages?Deuteronomy 32 describes a cosmic division of the nations. According to the older Dead Sea Scrolls reading, God fixed the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the “sons of God,” while reserving Jacob as His own portion. In this episode of Broadcasting Seeds, Bennett Tanton examines the Song of Moses as the theological framework behind the biblical story of the nations. The episode explores:

• The seventy nations associated with the Table of Nations
• The sons of God appointed over the nations
• God’s decision to reserve Israel for His direct governance
• The supernatural meaning of the Tower of Babel
• The beings behind pagan gods and idols
• The Shedim mentioned in Deuteronomy 32:17
• The failed divine rulers judged in Psalm 82
• God’s jealousy and Israel’s covenant rebellion
• Paul’s use of Deuteronomy 32 in Romans
• The Gentile mission and the Great Commission
• The return of the nations to God
• The connection between Babel and the New Jerusalem

The gods of the nations were not imaginary. They were created spiritual beings with limited authority who accepted worship, corrupted their territories, and failed to govern justly.God’s plan was not to abandon the nations forever. Through Abraham, Israel, the Messiah, and the gospel, the nations would be reclaimed.Deuteronomy 32 is not an isolated poem. It may be one of the clearest explanations of the Bible’s supernatural worldview and the structure behind the entire biblical story.Stay rooted. Stay curious. And never stop digging.
