Indiana football just Got HUGE News about a STAR RETURNING for 2026 | More Big Ten roster changes

Big Ten football news: Stephen Daley returns to the Indiana Hoosiers, Ohio State tops Oregon in the Coaches Poll, Peter Burns’ SEC schedule claim gets challenged, and Michigan loses CJ Charleston and Taylor Tatum before fall camp.

Stephen Daley is back, and his return could change much more than Indiana’s defensive-line rotation.

JR and Zach explain why the nation’s regular-season tackles-for-loss leader gives Curt Cignetti another proven defensive weapon, creates additional flexibility for Indiana’s linebackers and provides the championship-tested leadership the Hoosiers need after losing several foundational players.

Could Daley’s return make Indiana a legitimate threat to repeat as national champion? And could Kellen Wyatt, Holden Staes or another veteran eventually follow him back to Bloomington?

The episode also examines the preseason Coaches Poll, including:

• Ohio State opening at No. 1
• Oregon ranking No. 2
• Indiana beginning at No. 6
• Michigan, Penn State, Washington, Iowa and USC making the Top 25
• The biggest teams ranked too high or too low
• Peter Burns’ inaccurate claim about Big Ten and SEC schedules
• Why the Big Ten’s actual number of games against ranked opponents changes the conference-strength conversation

JR and Zach close with the Michigan football roster departures of CJ Charleston and Taylor Tatum. They discuss Michigan’s wide-receiver and safety depth, Tatum’s move toward baseball, Charleston’s reported eligibility situation and what the developments mean for Kyle Whittingham’s first fall camp in Ann Arbor.
