THE HIDEBEHIND-A Stalking Forest Demon That Feeds on Fear

The hidebehind is a fearsome nocturnal entity from American folklore that preys upon humans that wander the woods, which was blamed for the disappearances of early loggers when they failed to return to camp and haunts woodland explorers to this day. The hidebehind is said to be able to conceal itself expertly in the shadows, often remaining invisible even when staring directly at it. Seemingly part Wendigo, part Leshy, part Shadow Person, what exactly is this bizarre cryptid?
