US Open Preview: Djokovic denied travel, Raducanu’s test & Serena set for farewell

In the latest episode of Tennis Weekly, Joel and Kim are joined by Chris to preview the upcoming US Open after the release of the men’s and women’s draws.

They go quarter by quarter through the draw to assess the top seeds chances, debate which players to look out for and to finally make some possibly very inaccurate predictions. Discussions over Serena’s chances of getting past Round 1, Raducanu’s ability to defend her title, the likely winner of a Kyrgios v Medvedev match up and whether Caroline Garcia can continue the Renaissance all feature.

They also discuss the timing of Novak Djokovic’s withdrawal from the tournament, which sees him miss his second Slam of the year due to vaccination requirements.

Importantly, the picks for the US Open 2022 edition of Collect A Set are announced! Send in your predictions before play starts on Monday to be in with a chance of winning a coveted Tennis Weekly prize.
