The US Open Catch-Up: Round Three - Alcaraz arrives; Osaka ousted; Barty bounced out; Raducanu's (bakery) rampage; Five set wins galore feat. Tiafoe, FAA & Evans; Opelka's $10k pink bag

In the latest episode of The Passing Shot, the tennis podcast by fans, Joel and Kim catchup on the 3rd round of the US Open, which saw a thrilling Friday and some of the best Slam tennis of the year (and decade!)

With Carlos Alcaraz officially arriving with a 5 set upset of Stefanos Tsitsipas, Dan Evans making a comeback from 2 sets down, Emma Raducanu demolishing Sara Sorribes Tormo for the loss of 1 game and a whole host of close Slam final-worthy womens match ups, there is plenty to discuss.

Top seed Ash Barty and defending champion Naomi Osaka have also fallen by the wayside in the last 48 hours, with defeats at the hands of Shelby Rogers and Leylah Annie Fernandez respectively.

They also catch up on the doubles draws, which has seen 2021’s team of the year Mektic and Pavic lose in a shocking first round upset to American scratch pairing Lammons and Withrow.
