The Tour Catch-Up: Team Russia conquer ATP Cup; Barty's brilliance; Evans' first title; Sinner on song; How Murray got covid; AO Day 1 preview; Joel & Kim CAS predictions

In the latest episode of The Passing Shot, the tennis podcast by fans, Joel and Kim roundup this week’s action from the ATP and WTA tours, with 6 pre-AO events taking place.

They celebrate Dan Evans’s maiden title win in the Murray River Open (whilst lamenting FAA’s continued bridesmaid status!), reflect on Jannik Sinner’s continued emergence on the tour, and discuss Ash Barty picking up where she left off with her win in the Yarra Valley Classic which saw her pick up a beautiful wombat trophy in the process!

Joel and Kim also roundup Russia’s victory in the ATP Cup, with Medvedev and Rublev dominating Italy in the final, and they talk through Andy Murray’s comments regarding the NTC’s covid procedures ahead of his participation in next week’s Biella Challenger.

And they also unveil their Collect A Set predictions for the AO, and for those listeners who love a good quiz, feature a difficult Wimbledon themed challenge in the addendum to the pod.
