Hammer House of Podcast - Episode 20

Hello! And welcome to the fifth episode of Hammer House of Podcast, where Paul Cornell (Doctor Who, Elementary) and L.M. Myles (Verity!) discuss, in order of UK release, every horror movie made by Hammer Film Productions between 1955 and 1976, from The Quatermass Xperiment to To the Devil… A Daughter.

This month it's time for The Phantom of the Opera, an under-rated delight of a Hammer film. We're joined by special guest Jonathan Rigby, author of the sublime English Gothic, to discuss theatre politics, underground sewer layers, and dashing romances. Marvel at the comedy charwomen! Be impressed at Herbert Lom's acting eye! Flail at Patrick Troughton, rat-catcher extraordinaire!
