The results suggest that rising CO2 levels, coupled with an increasingly hot sun, will create an uninhabitable Earth with extreme temperatures and humidity. This scenario would lead to the inability to grow food, causing widespread extinction of mammals, including humans. The findings of this study, published in Nature Geoscience, offer a sobering glimpse into a possible future for humanity.
