Addicts and Enablers

I have a friend who’s an alcoholic, but she’s dry and sober. She took me to an AA meeting because I wanted to know, “what goes on there?” learned something. Every alcoholic or addict of some sort has someone that we call an Enabler who makes excuses for them, or bails them out, or cleans up after them, or in some cases, a wife of an alcoholic is just too afraid to do anything about it.
