I’m often asked, “How did Hitler’s German officers commit such atrocities. Why didn’t they stand up to him?” The answer lies in how he chose his officers. They weren’t the “officer and a gentleman.” They were from the lower class, and made into officers. And once they had that power, they would and could do almost anything.
