‘This team can compete with anybody’: Welcome to Powe Corner!

All-time Ole Miss great Jerrell Powe is here for his first installment of Powe Corner, in association with the Ole Miss Spirit and Talk of Champions.

And, boy, does he have some thoughts on Ole Miss football in 2022.

Powe believes the season's next two weeks (Tulsa and Kentucky) will tell us a lot about where the Rebels stand, and he also sees some of himself in defensive tackle JJ Pegues, the Oxford kid returned home from Auburn.

He's been a force in the middle of a stout Ole Miss defense.

Plus, Powe's trip to Georgia Tech, early returns for a talented stable of Rebel running backs, whether Alabama is beatable and his genuine belief in Ole Miss' ability to run the table.
