Ole Miss putting roster together to grow with and around Austin Simmons

Ole Miss closed the book on the 2024-25 season with a dominant win over Duke in the Gator Bowl.

The Rebels won’t play another game for months. Ben Garrett (@SpiritBen), then, needs some juice on this Tuesday (December 7, 2024) edition of ‘Talk of Champions,’ which is always powered by our friends at RiverLand Roofing.

Fortunately college football is year-around these days, not to mention Ole Miss basketball is after an NCAA Tournament berth and Rebel baseball is just around the corner.

But most pressing, for now, is the transfer portal and the work Lane Kiffin and Co. continue to put in to build out another College Football Playoff contender next season.

Ole Miss Spirit (OMSpirit.com) recruiting expert Zach Berry joins to talk the latest movement, including visitors to campus, recent roster departures (specifically Ayden Williams and Noreel White) and remaining needs.

Ole Miss has taken a different approach this cycle, as ‘Talk of Champions’ explains. But the Rebels’ play for upside and a roster to grow around first-year quarterback Austin Simmons doesn’t mean a shift in expectations.
