Franchise Player: Where’s the (Ole Miss football) love? ‘Cause it’s not enough.

The USA Today All-America teams, as hand-picked by all the FBS coaches, have been released.

Ole Miss didn't have a single selection.

The preseason disrespect for the 2022 Rebels, at least nationally, extends for yet another day. I mean, Athlon recently ranked Jaxson Dart, the presumed Ole Miss starter, as just the 10th-best quarterback in the 14-team SEC.

What in the wide, wide world of sports is going on here?

Are we local types propping up these Rebels — who were 10-3 last season, including their 10th all-time appearance in the Sugar Bowl — too much? They open the year against Troy September 3.

Ben Garrett and David Johnson certainly don't think so. They're bullish on Ole Miss' sky-high ceiling, as they detail in this edition of Franchise Player, a site-crossover podcast of the Ole Miss Spirit (On3) and Inside the Rebels (247).
