The Old School Heavy Metal Blitz of Tailgunner

Tailgunner is leading the new wave of British heavy metal, and the buzz is real… they were selling out shows before they’d even played live! Bassist Tom Hewson, guitarist Zack Salvini, and singer Craig Cairns talk about forming the band online during lockdown, betting on themselves by recording and touring independently, and quickly landing runs with W.A.S.P., HammerFall, U.D.O., and Accept. They break down the moment Judas Priest legend KK Downing discovered them, invited them to open his show, and went on to produce their latest album “Midnight Blitz.” They share stories from the road, including wild European crowds singing guitar melodies back to them, the nickname “The Puppies” given to them by Saxon, and their mission to bring classic metal back for a new generation! Plus they talk stage style, attitude, growing global fanbase, and their plans to take over the States next.
