Mike McCready's Farewell To Seasons Is Alive!

Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready talks about his new graphic novel and companion album, “Farewell to Seasons,” and the real Seattle rock stories that inspired it. He shares memories of Andrew Wood and Mother Love Bone, how Chris Cornell welcomed Eddie Vedder into the Seattle scene, the making and timing of Temple of the Dog, and how Pearl Jam went from opening clubs to exploding on Lollapalooza and MTV. Mike explains why Pearl Jam never considered themselves a “grunge” band, why they stopped making music videos at the height of their success, and what it was like watching Eddie Vedder’s death-defying stage climbs during their early tours. He also gets into KISS and the Ace Frehley connection to the “Alive” solo, what Pearl Jam learned from Neil Young on “Mirror Ball,” how Stevie Ray Vaughan inspired Mike’s guitar part on “Yellow Ledbetter,” and why “Black” and “Alive” remain his favorite Pearl Jam songs to play live. Plus, Mike reveals his longtime love of pro wrestling and puts Chris Jericho in the hot seat for questions about Bret Hart, Sting and Triple H. Purchase Mike McCready’s Farewell To Seasons graphic novel and companion album - https://z2comics.com/products/mike-mccready-s-farewell-to-seasons-vinyl-lp-deluxe-edition-copy📸 Instagram: @mikemccreadypj | @z2comics Talk Is Jericho is available on YouTube! https://www.youtube.csom/ChrisJerichoFozzyLike, Subscribe, and hit the 🔔 to stay updated on new episodes! More from Talk Is Jericho:📸 Instagram: @chrisjerichofozzy | @talkisjericho🐦 Twitter/X: @IAmJericho | @TalkIsJericho🎵 TikTok: @chrisjericho🌐 Website: https://www.webisjericho.com/
