ALeeN Rose: Amy Nelson & Tina Rose Bridges on Music, Family Legacy & Willie Nelson & Leon Russell's Enduring Bond

Two musical bloodlines finally converge in this episode of Takin' A Walk with Buzz Knight, featuring ALeeN Rose — the duo of Amy Nelson (daughter of Willie Nelson) and Tina Rose Bridges (daughter of the late Leon Russell). Decades after their fathers' iconic 1979 collaboration One for the Road, Amy and Tina Rose reunited as adults to form ALeeN Rose, turning shared grief, healing, and inheritance into music.

Buzz talks with Amy and Tina Rose about their debut single "They're There," a tribute to Amy's brother and Tina Rose's father featuring Willie Nelson himself, plus upcoming covers of Eddie Vedder's "My Father's Daughter" and a deep cut from Kris Kristofferson's catalog. The conversation moves through growing up in a tight-knit music family that included Kristofferson, their early activism with Austin's Grassroots Leadership at their very first live show, and how music becomes a therapeutic and spiritual bridge to loved ones who've passed.

It's a raw, emotional conversation about legacy — the kind you inherit without asking, and the kind you choose to build with your own hands.
