The Knicks' Love Affair with Jalen Brunson + Former NBA veteran Cuttino Mobley

On today’s episode, Jason gets the party started by sharing his thoughts on the New York Knicks’ relentless pursuit of free agent point guard Jalen Brunson. Brunson is a good but not great player so the fact that New York is so hell bent on acquiring him does give him a little bit of pause… unless there’s another big move coming after that. Could the Knicks open up even more cap space to add Zach LaVine as well? Could they turn all those extra first round picks they just acquired to make a run at Donovan Mitchell? The next few days should be spicy! Former NBA veteran Cuttino Mobley swings by to discuss why he believes Kyrie Irving is misunderstood, the constant leadership questions surrounding the Brooklyn Nets, why the Nets – and other teams around the league – are so hesitant to offer Kyrie a full max deal despite his prodigious talent, Ben Simmons headspace moving forward following a full season in limbo, how Steph Curry would’ve fared playing in the 1990s and 2000s, why he believes LeBron James is the GOAT, why the parity in today’s NBA is as good as it’s ever been, how analytics has hurt the NBA in some ways, and much more!
