Straight Fire w/ Jason McIntyre - Patrick Mahomes is Missing Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs Won But the Chargers are Better + Covers.com Senior Contest Strategist Adam Chernoff

On today's episode, Jason kicks things off with a deep dive into the Kansas City Chiefs' primetime victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. Patrick Mahomes didn't look like the best quarterback in the league for most of the night, but he did do just enough to get the win; Mahomes was clearly missing Tyreek Hill. The big picture point, however, is that the Los Angeles Chargers looked like the better team. Justin Herbert is a stud, the defense with Joey Bosa and Derwin James is loaded, and the offensive skill positions are electric. Had the Chargers not suffered injuries to their offensive line - and a pair of Mahomes interceptions weren't overturned - Los Angeles likely rolls in this game. Later, Covers.com Senior Contest Strategist Adam Chernoff swings by to discuss the pitfalls of allowing marquee media personalities (who aren’t pro bettors) tout picks, why he might be willing to lay the 10-points for San Francisco when they take on the Seattle Seahawks, why he’s more likely to bet the total than a side when the Denver Broncos take on the Houston Texans, why he’s expecting a big bounce back game for the Carolina Panthers against the New York Giants, which side makes the most sense in what should be an ugly game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots, and much more! Finally, J-Mac closes the show with his Best Best for Week 2 in the NFL.
