Vicor Climbs, AMD Rises, Warner. Bros Discovery Trades Higher
Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Vicor (VICR) shares jumped 13% in postmarket trading Monday after the firm raised its third-quarter revenue growth guidance to over 20% q/q from nearly 10%, citing royalties from non-exclusive license to Vertical Power Delivery.
- AMD (AMD) shares rallied along with other semiconductor stocks on Monday as early signs of success for Meta's new artificial intelligence agent sparked a wave of enthusiasm around demand for the chips needed to power such agents.
- Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) shares rallied after Paramount Skydance settled lawsuits brought by 12 state attorneys general and the Writers Guild trade union, a move that will allow the company to close its historic $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Shares of Paramount and Warner Bros. both jumped on Monday after Bloomberg News first reported that a settlement had been reached, with Warner now trading very close to the $31-a-share acquisition price.
