Ryanair Rises, BP Gains, Lottomatica Drops
Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Ryanair trimmed its full-year traffic goal by two million passengers to limit exposure to unhedged jet fuel this winter. If high oil prices continue into 2027, the budget airline expects short-haul airfares in Europe to “increase materially.”
- BP named Ian Tyler chairman following an interim stint leading the board this summer, after the unexpected ouster of Albert Manifold in May.
- Italian gaming company Lottomatica Group SpA agreed to buy Spanish rival Cirsa Enterprises SA in an all-share deal valued at about €2.8 billion ($3.2 billion).
