Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Minimax extends its gains into a second day after Southbound investors purchased HK$2.7 billion ($344 million) worth of shares on the first day of the stock’s inclusion into the connect. Shares jump 18% to their highest level in nearly a month.
- M3 shares slumped as much as 21%, the most on record, after the medical information firm’s 1Q profit missed market expectations and it reported slow growth in its pharma marketing segment.
- Singapore’s top lenders are riding a wealth management boom that’s propelled their stock prices rally to records and helped second-quarter profit beat expectations. Wealth fees at DBS Group, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp. and United Overseas Bank all jumped to all-time highs. DBS saw a 42% increase to S$919 million ($716 million).
