Minimax Down, Nintendo Drops, MUFG Dips
Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Shares of MiniMax and Z.AI fall in Hong Kong amid concerns that DeepSeek’s price cuts will intensify the competition among AI models in China and put pressure on margins.
- Nintendo shares slid as much as 5%, extending Wednesday’s decline, after its closely watched Direct event ended without an announcement of a new blockbuster game title for the Switch 2.
- Japanese banks including MUFG limit losses in Asia as The Bank of Japan will continue to raise its benchmark interest rate to ensure that the price trend doesn’t exceed 2%, board member Kazuyuki Masu said, in comments that support widespread expectations that the bank will raise borrowing costs next week.
