JPMorgan and Wells Fargo Report; JNJ and UNH Earnings
Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- JPMorgan (JPM) shares are responding to this morning's early release. 3Q FICC sales and trading revenue missed estimates. It marks the first such decline in more than two years. Still, CEO Jamie Dimon still said "each line of business performed well."
- Wells Fargo (WFC) shares are moving after it reported net interest income for the third quarter that met the average analyst estimate.
- Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) and UnitedHealth (UNH) shares are both moving as they report earnings. J&J raised its profit guidance as demand for newer drugs in cancer and autoimmune diseases overshadowed more anemic growth in the company’s medical device business. UnitedHealth raised its profit outlook for the year after reporting better-than-expected earnings in the third quarter.
