Deutsche Telekom Down, M&G Falls, Watches of Switzerland Down
Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Elliott Investment Management has built a sizeable stake in Deutsche Telekom AG and indicated the German telecommunications giant should ditch a potential merger with its American arm T-Mobile US Inc., people familiar with the matter said.
- M&G shares fall as much as 3.8% after first-half results from the asset manager showed a bigger-than-expected net loss due to adverse short-term fluctuations in investment returns, overshadowing otherwise strong net flows, capital generation and dividends.
- Watches of Switzerland shares erase early gains to fall after the watch retailer reiterated its full year guidance, saying in a statement it’s “well positioned” to deliver on FY27 guidance.
