Delta Lowers Outlook; Apple Slips; Humana Surges
Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Delta (DAL) shares are sliding after the company reduced its full-year earnings outlook due to high jet fuel prices stemming from the war in the Middle East.
- SpaceX (SPCX) shares are moving after the company announced an agreement to acquire a nationwide low-band spectrum license portfolio, the company says in a post on X. The license portfolio will be up to 14 megahertz of paired spectrum in the 800 MHz band.
- Apple (AAPL) shares are slipping after a report that the company cut component orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max following weaker-than-expected demand.
- Humana (HUM) is surging as the company improved its performance on crucial Medicare Advantage quality ratings that will boost future revenue. Shares of CVS meanwhile fell as ratings for some of its largest plans deteriorated, while UnitedHealth shares were little changed in premarket trading.
- Lumentum (LITE), which is backed by Nvidia, is moving as the company's optical components are "completely sold out" through early 2029 due to demand from tech companies for faster AI data centers. Lumentum plans to invest at least $350 million in its key factory and a neighboring facility to ramp up capacity and meet runaway demand for its products.
