- Nvidia (NVDA) shares hit a record for the first time since May as investors pile back into the stock after a two-month selloff that wiped more than $1 trillion off its market value. Shares of the world’s most valuable public company gained 2.9% on Friday, extending a nearly 25% rally from a late July low when fears surrounding the outlook for artificial intelligence pressured the stock.
- Tesla (TSLA) reported better-than-expected sales for the third quarter, a sign of stability for the company’s core business at a challenging moment for the electric vehicle market. The automaker delivered 486,532 vehicles worldwide in the period, according to a statement Friday. That compared with 463,761 expected on average among analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
- Seagate (STX) shares sink after Nikkei reported that Toshiba would double its production capacity for hard disk drive.
