CH Robinson Drops, PTC Rises, and Intel Drops as Musk Confirms TSMC Discussions
On this episode of Stock Movers:
-CH Robinson (CHRW) shares are down. CH Robinson Worldwide Inc. agreed to buy RXO Inc. in a deal valued at about $5.8 billion to diversify its business and capitalize on RXO’s abilities in expedited and last-mile delivery. CH Robinson aims to use its AI-based model to extract $300 million of cost savings within two years and improve efficiency in a challenging freight market. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2027 and will bolster CH Robinson’s standing as North America’s largest broker by revenue, with RXO shareholders expected to own 11% of the combined company upon closing.
- PTC (PTC) shares rise. Schneider Electric shares fell as much as 10% in Paris, the most since January 2025, as an agreement to acquire PTC draws a cautious initial response from analysts. Concerns center on the size and financing of the transaction, as well as uncertainty over AI disruption and whether the deal can strengthen Schneider’s competitive position.
- Intel (INTC) shares drop after Elon Musk confirmed discussions with TSMC over chip manufacturing for Terafab.
