The Charlotte 49ers are quite possibly the worst team in FBS in 2026, so why should you care? Rodger Sherman joins to explain. Part of Charlotte's story is the actual cautionary tale of moving up from FCS to FBS and the old thing Richard never shuts up about: Winning is not a business model. But there are nearly 1:1 examples of Charlotte-style programs that have found success. We dive into what gives in the Queen City. In this episode:

0:00: Why Charlotte gets the nod this week despite being so bad

5:15: A rapid climb from startup program to the American

16:31: “Winning is not a business model”

30:33: What UTSA got right that the 49ers very much did not

Producer: Anthony Vito
