Portnoy VS. Mamdani? | 06-30-26

On this Tuesday edition of Sid & Friends in the Morning, Sid reacts to Barstool Sports founder & CEO Dave Portnoy saying on Fox News that he's considering a run for Mayor of New York City in 2029 against current Mayor Zohran Mamdani. In other news of the day, musical icons came out in full force to pay tribute to the late great mogul Clive Davis — including a devastated Alicia Keys who wept through her speech at an Upper East Side synagogue, Iran’s almost immediate violations of the U.S.-negotiated ceasefire last week showed again the futility of relying on the Islamic Republic’s commitments to the international order, Mayor Mamdani's administration announced the closure of a Rikers Island facility yesterday inching him closer to closing the prison as a whole, and Sid gets ready to partake in this afternoon's Barrett Media Audio Summit taking place at the SVA Theatre. Alex Traiman, Anthony Cumia, Bo Dietl, Jason Barrett, Joe Tacopina & Wally Backman join Sid on this Tuesday installment of Sid & Friends in the Morning.
