SO EP:494 Skunk Ape Touched My Tent!

In this episode, Brian welcomes Richard from Florida, a seasoned Bigfoot researcher with a focus on the Skunk Ape. Richard discusses his initial interest in Bigfoot, which began as a child in the 1970s. He recounts his first terrifying encounter in Florida's forests in 2005, which caused him to quit hunting. This experience led him to start researching Bigfoot actively. Richard shares various subsequent encounters, including unexplained vocalizations and physical interactions at his campsite. He also addresses his skepticism towards certain Bigfoot evidence, like the Sierra Sounds, and highlights the importance of skepticism in conducting credible research. The discussion includes Richard's involvement in the BFFG (Bigfoot Forest Giants) team and their fieldwork, which consists of looking for physical evidence such as footprints and structures. The conversation wraps up with insights from the Great Florida Bigfoot Conference and the vibrant community of Bigfoot enthusiasts.
