Thomas Aquinas Summa Theologiae - Charity, The Soul, and the Holy Spirit - Sadler's Lectures

This lecture discusses key ideas from the Medieval philosopher, theologian, and Dominican friar, Thomas Aquinas, and focuses on his Summa Theologiae, Secunda Secundae Partis, q. 23, on Charity considered in itself It focuses upon his discussions in article 2: Is charity something created in the soul? This introduces important considerations having to do with the third person of the trinity, the Holy Spirit, who is among other ways understood as the love between the first and second persons of the trinity, and as the divine love that the soul's love participates in. It seems that love understood this way could not be something in the soul, since it exceeds the soul. Thomas clarifies that there is a habitual form superadded to the soul inclining it to acts of charity.
