Children’s Grief Author Murder Trial: Week One Ends With Star Witness Testimony

35-year-old mom of 3, Kouri Richins, is accused of poisoning her husband Eric with 5 times the lethal dose of fentanyl in March of 2022. A year later, RIchins was arrested for murder while she was promoting her new book on helping children deal with the grief of losing a parent. The prosecution wrapped its first week of testimony with its key witness: Richins’ housekeeper who claims she’s the one who sold Kouri the fentanyl, but the defense poked significant holes in Carmen Lauder’s testimony.
