FROM THE ARCHIVES: SEAN SPILLANE INTERVIEW
Originally released in September 2013: Arlo formed in L.A. in the mid-nineties and eventually signed with Sub Pop and released two albums before imploding, but as we learn on today's episode, which features a great conversation BJ had with one of the band's two singer/guitarists Sean Spillane, the band recorded a third album for the label that was never released. If you want to hear the fascinating story of how a band gets signed and what happens next, have a listen. Sean Spillane is the nicest guy in the world and we had a great conversation about the story of his band, how he writes songs, and the great songs he's been writing recently for the soundtracks of several independent films.
