Pain in Da Ass | ROC Solid w/ Memphis Bleek

Drink Champs Network Presents: ROC Solid with Memphis Bleek.

This week on ROC Solid, we tappin’ in with none other than Pain in Da Ass — the voice behind some of Roc-A-Fella’s most iconic intros. You know the voice. You heard it on Reasonable Doubt, setting the tone with those unforgettable lines that let you know something legendary was about to happen. Now it’s time to hear the man behind the voice speak his truth.

In this episode, Bleek and Pain tap into the early days of Roc-A-Fella, talking street politics, studio sessions, and how Pain's cinematic energy helped shape the mythos of Jay-Z’s debut. Pain shares never-before-heard stories about Dame, Biggs, and what it was like being the original intro man when Roc was just getting off the ground. They talk about loyalty, legacy, and the overlooked role Pain played in hip hop history.

Expect real talk, raw emotion, and pure Roc nostalgia as Bleek brings it full circle with a key voice from the dynasty’s foundation. If you ever hit play on Can’t Knock the Hustle and got chills from the intro, this episode is for you.

Tap in — history’s being told by the ones who lived it.
