The TRUE and FATAL Story of the ALCATRAZ PRISON RIOT! #RetroRadio EP0320 #WeirdDarkness

From Retro Radio: Old Time Radio in the Dark Darren Marlar

The true events of the Battle of Alcatraz occurred May 2-4, 1946. Inmates attempted an escape by overpowering a guard and seizing weapons, taking hostages, and accessing the prison’s dock to steal a boat. This is the true story of how their plan failed miserably – and fatally. Hear the tale, created and produced only one week later, in this Old Time Radio marathons’ episode of Gang Busters from May 11, 1946!
