Henry and Stark County Health Departments and First Choice Healthcare are highlighting several health initiatives this week. RaeAnn Tucker says prevention remains key, noting many deaths are linked to preventable diseases, while only a small share of healthcare dollars goes toward prevention. The departments are also celebrating Silver+ recognition from the American Heart Association for blood pressure management, with free checks available in Kewanee and Toulon clinic lobbies. Stark County is marking National Pharmacy Week and the Toulon Telepharmacy’s local access. Flu shots are available at First Choice clinics, and health insurance navigators will assist residents at upcoming area events.
