Who Was Laughing Outside Her Door? | Real Ghost Stories CLASSIC

A romantic Valentine’s weekend at a quiet mountain hotel seemed perfect—until she began hearing children laughing near the stairs to the bell tower.

Hours later, around three in the morning, the sounds returned. This time she heard running footsteps, laughter, and what sounded like a ball bouncing against the hallway walls.

Each time she opened the door, the hallway was completely empty.

By morning, she was exhausted and ready to leave. At checkout, she mentioned the children who had kept her awake all night.

The desk clerk paused. There were no children checked into the hotel.

And this wasn’t just any hotel. It was the Stanley.
