The Ghost Woman at Dave’s Door | Real Ghost Stories

This is the true story of Dave — a man who grew up in the shadow of Amityville, only to discover that some ghosts never let go. When he was just five years old, Dave witnessed a nightmare that would stay with him forever. He saw a father burst out of a house screaming, “She killed them all!” Inside were three small children with plastic bags tied around their heads. From that moment on, the sound of crinkling plastic haunted him for life.

But Amityville was only the beginning. Years later, after moving to Southern California’s Inland Empire, Dave lived in a house with an energy so heavy you could feel it pressing down on your chest. Visitors didn’t just sense it—they saw it. One night, while cooking dinner with a friend, a woman appeared by the front door. She wasn’t shadowy. She wasn’t faint. She was solid. Too solid. With a twisted smirk, she stared at them… then faded like smoke.

And the terror didn’t stop there. In his sister’s old bedroom, a guest watched the neatly made bed sink down violently, as if someone invisible had collapsed onto it. The room filled with dread, the air thick with something that wasn’t supposed to be there.

Dave used to say that once a house learns your name, every house after that remembers it. Maybe he was right. His story is proof that a haunting doesn’t always belong to one building — sometimes, it belongs to you.
