The Mariners Are OK, Right?

From Rates & Barrels: A show about Baseball The Athletic

Eno, DVR, and Britt discuss the Yankees' top-to-bottom power output and Jazz Chisholm's past calendar year (30-30 club!) as he deals with a pair of knee contusions down the stretch. Plus, they dig into the Mariners' hold on the final Wild Card spot in the American League, despite a recent 6-14 stretch in their last 20 games. Do the park factors in at T-Mobile Park lead us to miscalculate the true talent in Seattle? They also discuss the Padres' lack of power in 2025 -- which was at least partially addressed by their additions at the Trade Deadline -- and the Yankees' request for umpires to inspect Taylor Trammell's bat (update: MLB confirmed that the bat was illegal akin to an impermissible glove, without any competitive advantage gained), before discussing a few weekend waiver wire considerations.
