Preet Singh: Acting Mayor of Wyndham - Punjabi Podcast - Ranjodh Singh - Radio Haanji

Every great story in our community starts with a single step, and for Preet Singh, that journey has led from the streets of Truganina to the Mayoral office. Today on Radio Haanji 1674 AM, our very own Ranjodh Singh sat down with the newly appointed Acting Mayor of Wyndham for a conversation that was as much about ”bonding” as it was about ”governing.” While the news cycles focus on the administrative shifts, we wanted to bring you the man behind the title. Preet isn’t just a politician; he’s a father, a business owner, and a neighbor who has called Wyndham home for over 20 years. A Vision Rooted in the Soil Representing the Bemin Ward—a melting pot of culture where 65% of our brothers and sisters were born overseas—Preet understands the unique ”vibe” of our migrant community. In this Punjabi Podcast special, he shares his deeply personal commitment to: Public Safety First: Why he advocated for private patrols and more police resources to ensure our families sleep soundly. The ”Beautification” Mission: His heart-led project to turn Truganina’s parks into green sanctuaries for our children. Small Business, Big Dreams: How his own solar business background helps him fight for the local ”dukaandaars” and entrepreneurs. The Resilience of Our Community Stepping into this role during a time of change for the council, Preet’s message remains clear: “I am here to serve the people who built this city with me.” It’s this spirit of Chardi Kala (eternal optimism) that makes this interview a must-listen for anyone searching for the best Punjabi Radio Australia has to offer. 🏛️ Contact the Mayor’s Office If you have concerns regarding the Bemin Ward or want to share your thoughts on the council’s direction, reach out directly: Email: [email protected] Mobile: 0499 776 876 Office: 45 Princes Highway, Werribee, VIC 3030 Radio Haanji 1674 AM | Punjabi Podcast | Broadcasting from Melbourne, Australia Listen free at haanji.com.au | Available on Spotify & Apple Podcasts Serving the Punjabi community across Melbourne · Sydney · Brisbane · Australia · Worldwide
