This Mother’s Day, Laughter Therapy on Radio Haanji brought the whole community together for one of its warmest and most joyful episodes yet. Hosts Yash Kaur and Ranjodh Singh welcomed a wave of young callers who shared how they celebrated the most important woman in their lives. Mannat and Fateh baked a chocolate cake, gifted their mum a pair of socks and a coffee mug, and Mannat moved the whole studio with a heartfelt Mother’s Day poem in Punjabi. Amber, Gurbaz, and Taj went for a giant teddy bear — and Amber threw in a classic Punjabi frog riddle for good measure. Young cricketer Taj stole the show with his weekend stats (20 runs, 2 wickets!) and an absolutely confident prediction that RCB will win the IPL in 2026. He also delivered a brilliant joke about a bus conductor who can’t quite leave work at the door, even at his own wedding. The episode celebrated Tamneet’s 11th birthday in proper Radio Haanji style — Gulab Jamun, candles, listener messages, and birthday songs in both English and Punjabi. Ashish recited a fun Johny Johny rhyme, Shreya shared a beautiful Punjabi Boli, and Virk brought energy with his family’s Alsi Pinni-making plans and a hilarious joke about a drunk man on train tracks. The show wrapped with a special anniversary shout-out to Sabi Sangha and Harpreet Kaur on their 18th wedding anniversary.
