Mona Scott Young

Entertainment executive, producer, and entrepreneur Mona Scott-Young joins the R&B Money Podcast for a conversation about her journey from the music business to building one of the most successful franchises in reality television.

Mona takes us back to her years working alongside at Violator Management, helping navigate the careers of artists including Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, and LL Cool J, and shares what she learned about artist management during one of hip-hop and R&B’s most influential eras.

She also breaks down the transition from music executive to television producer, the creation and evolution of Love & Hip Hop, and how she turned an idea centered around the women behind hip-hop artists into a franchise that changed reality television.
