A.Chic

Singer and songwriter A.Chic joins the R&B Money Podcast to talk about the journey from writing behind the scenes for some of the biggest artists in music to stepping into the spotlight with a sound of her own.

J. Valentine sat down with A.Chic to discuss her South Florida roots, breaking into the songwriting business, and what it takes to create records for artists with completely different sounds and audiences.

A.Chic takes us inside her experiences writing for major artists including BTS, Missy Elliott, and more, as well as creating music for television projects like *Rap Sh!t* and *P-Valley*. She breaks down the differences between writing for yourself versus another artist, and how working in the global K-pop world expanded her perspective as a songwriter.

Now she's taking everything she's learned behind the scenes and putting it into **A.Chic the artist**. She talks about developing her own sound, bringing together her Caribbean and South Florida influences, and creating what she calls her blend of house, Miami bass, hip-hop and R&B.

From writing records for global superstars to building her own identity as an artist, A.Chic gives us an inside look at the songwriter behind the songs—and the artist she's becoming.
