Royal Road Minerals targets deeper gold system after encouraging El Alemán results

Royal Road Minerals Ltd (TSX-V:RYR, OTC:RRDMF, FRA:RLU) CEO Dr Tim Coughlin spoke with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about new gold results at El Alemán in Colombia and plans to test the mineralisation at depth. Saw-cut channel sampling returned 51 metres grading 1.12 grams per tonne gold, including 20 metres at 2.21 grams per tonne. The results came from a continuous cross-section of gold-bearing veins exposed in historic artisanal workings. Coughlin said gold occurs not only in the veins but also in the surrounding host rock, potentially indicating a broader mineralised zone. The company believes the surface mineralisation may connect with a 2022 drill intersection around 400 metres down dip. That link remains unconfirmed, and planned drilling aims to establish continuity, grade and geometry between the two areas. El Alemán sits around 500 metres northwest of Güíntar, where drilling is underway. Royal Road sees the gold-vein system as a potential complement to the project’s larger copper-gold-silver porphyry and skarn targets. Coughlin also discusses the wider GAM exploration programme and the next milestones for understanding the scale and relationship of its mineralised zones.
