Pathos CEO targets global expansion as AI-powered PR platform prepares for 2027 launch

Pathos Communications Plc (LSE:NEWS) founder and CEO Omar Hamdi joined Stephen Gunnion in the Proactive studio with more on the company’s strong first-half growth, rising reoccurring revenue and plans to scale its AI-powered public relations technology. Repeat and reoccurring revenue accounted for 36% of total revenue, up from 16% a year earlier. Hamdi attributed the increase to customer satisfaction, repeat business, referrals and a broader product range, as the company looks to build a sustainable, profitable listed business. Recognised by the Financial Times as the UK’s fastest-growing marketing company, Pathos is developing Pressella, an AI-powered virtual publicist, and PathosMind, the operating system behind it. Hamdi said the technology combines human expertise with AI to help the business expand, with Pressella achieving at least seven times the meeting-booking success rate of human colleagues when comparing equivalent volumes of outreach messages. The interview also covered the company’s engagement with international publishers at the FIPP World Media Congress in Madrid, its expansion plans across Asia-Pacific and potential mergers and acquisitions. Looking ahead, Hamdi highlighted organic growth, international expansion and the planned general availability of the AI technology in the first half of 2027 as key milestones.
