1989: License to Kill with Tom Mison

IN THIS PODCAST, WE PREPARE FOR THE UNEXPECTED.
Kenny and Phil join forces with Tom Mison (Watchmen, Sleepy Hollow) to discuss Timothy Dalton's second, and final, outing as the iconic British super-spy James Bond.
In an unprecedented veer away from the 007 formula, Bond denounces his license to kill and seeks revenge upon a South American drug dealer for the murder of his friend's wife. Although praised at the time for the action, and Dalton's performance, the film's dark and gritty tone left a bad taste in some reviewers mouths. Over 30 years later, we reflect on this dramatic shift, and discuss how it holds up as the character's legacy continues to evolve.
