192: Slipknot w/ Rich Monahan

Phil and Kenny sit down with this podcast's resident music expert, writer Rich Monahan, to discuss the scariest mainstream band of the 90s: SLIPKNOT.
We talk about all the factors that led to such a freaky group becoming a mainstream success, from the rise of angry, rich frat boys, to clique cultures in highschools. We also compare them to their contemporaries, including Insane Clown Posse and Limp Bizkit, as well as precursors such as Kiss, and track their evolution from their debut 1999 album, to today.
