191: The X-Files: Arcadia w/ Emma Stefansky

Spooky Season has officially begun on Podcast Like It's 1999! Here to kick off this month of terror is writer Emma Stefansky, talking about everyone's favorite FBI agents, Mulder and Scully, with THE X-FILES season 6, episode 15; ARCADIA.
That's right, we're finally covering one of the 90s most seminal pieces of science fiction pop culture. We discuss the rabid fanbase that kept X-Files on the air for so long, and how they reacted to this incredible self-contained episode (with a plot ripped straight from Emma's personal fan fiction). We also talk about the subpar special effects and story work, that is almost completely overshadowed by the lead performances and direction.
