18: Dick with Stacy Traub

Phil and Kenny are joined by writer Stacy Traub (The Real O’Neals, Blackish, Glee) for an intimate discussion about the 1999 Richard Nixon comedy, Dick. Although not a big hit, when it comes to cultural significance, Dick is more of a grow-er than a show-er. But Dick was a hard movie to pull off. How do you take a dingaling like Richard Nixon and avoid turning him into a one-eyed monster? How do you turn two 15 year old girls (Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Williams) into the trouser snakes who brought down the White House without making myriad boners? And how do you do a podcast about Dick without erecting an oral monument to Dick puns? Join the crew for this episode about a movie that is a cocked rifle shooting a wad of premonition from 1999 into the unsuspecting face of 2018.
